About a year ago we had to put down our sweet older kitty and they were so sweet and amazing. Only had one minor issue. I had paid almost $500 and went to pick up our sweet kitties ashes and a couple months go by and they call me saying I never paid them. All I had to do was pull up my bank statement and they found the receipt instantly and handled it! The receptionist at the time was very sweet and understood it was their mistake. I will still absolutely bring my future fur babies here. It’s a very caring environment!

They took great care of our sick kitty while he was hospitalized, keeping him comfortable and loved while giving us frequent updates. Glad to have found a vet experienced in diabetes management in cats. Thank you, words cannot express how appreciative we are. Very reasonable prices, exceptional care.

Pricey and won’t listen to your concerns. Will happily try to get as much money out of you as humanly possible and would rather call you with estimates then with updates on your pet that you left in their care for treatment. You can’t even speak to a vet unless you go in and demand it. Even then it might not be the vet that’s treating your animal. Originally it never was this way over the last couple of visits the vibe had changed. I had to argue to get my cat looked at. I mentioned his allergic reaction back when it happened when he got his shot and then they try to push it on me at our last visit to give him said shot. If I could do zero stars at this point I would. From the lack of help for after he was sent home and then for the lack of urgency and answers I received while trying to figure out what was wrong with him. Now I’m looking at even more issues from his last visit because of a staff that could not care. I understand where it seems to be from an influx of new patients and it’s overwhelming for them however, it’s just unacceptable at this point. EDIT: yes you all did a rabies vaccine but when you called the second time with an “estimate” you quoted all three shots which were up in the air because we didn’t know which of the three caused him to have an allergic reaction. I mentioned that as my concern which is why I was hesitant to have them done in the first place. What you also failed to mention was when you tried to give me an estimate for de-wormer. His problem had nothing to do with worms and when I asked the girl why that was even there the response was “well we just like to do it routinely”. Cool, you never told me about it and just expected me to pay for it but it had nothing to do with his problem. You gave him a vaccine that I was worried he would have an allergic reaction to WITHOUT talking to me. I would have made another appointment to have it don’t because I know he would have been stressed out. Now the doctor I talked to that day had only looked over his case files minutes prior because the doctor who had been working with him left and wouldn’t be back till I believe 4-4:30. I was over the run around on my cats status. I was over not getting answers but getting suggestions “well you can take him home or leave him here another night”. I was only offered to speak with the doctor who was doing his care after I had paid. Let’s also add on there the doctor who went over the x-ray I requested earlier in the day (since ya know that was never even an option to view the two days he was there) mentioned they would have someone bring my cat to the examination room. Well a nurse or a tech came in about 5-7 minutes later and then told me to go pay and I would THEN get my cat. So, as I mentioned within my review this practice has gone from being genuine to being a cash grab.

As a new client at Maple Lane Veterinary Clinic, I have so many positive things about our experience. My two dachshunds are under the care of Dr. Lauren Kallaway, and they have received nothing but exceptional care. Tabitha at the front desk has been especially kind, empathetic, and easy to communicate with. She ensures that information is exchanged quickly and clearly, which makes a difference as an anxious pet owner! 😉 Dr. Kallaway has truly gone above and beyond for my dogs. She carefully reviewed years of prior medical records and took every precaution to ensure my dogs were safe during their recent dental procedure. Her thoroughness, clinical expertise, and dedication are evident in every interaction so far. Additionally, the pricing at Maple Lane is fair and reasonable, especially compared to other practices in the Harrisonburg area. We happily drive out of town for this level of care. We are so grateful our friends recommended this practice. Highly recommend! 🙂
