Dr. Megremis made a very emotional appointment very plesent. It's never easy going to the Vet with your senior Animal when they are suffering.
Dr. Megremis and the Vet Tech were compassionate and loving towards my sweet Dog Dora. They took their time and did a comprehensive physical exam. My dog was muzzled because of anxiety they kept smearing squeeze cheese on the muzzle to distract her and it was probably the difference maker. That little attention to detail allowed all of us to get through the exam with minal stress. My dog was distracted but fully able to respond to the various different areas examened.
We don't have all the answers but at least I know we are on the road to finding out what is going on. The only thing that was left hurting was my wallet. That statement is a fact not saying this level of care isn't worth it. This is why it cost what it cost. You get a great exam and quick test results.
Thank you for making these hard times managble. The post visit report card was awesome to read because during the appointment you don't absorb everything when you walk in thinking the worst.
As a person who's Dog is more of a family member than my human family I recommend this practice. You get a warm friendly and factual exam and treatment. You won't find this level of exceptional treatment at the back of a Pet food store.
Give your pets the love and treatment they deserve
There’s a quote that says, “People may not remember your name, but they will always remember how you made them feel.” A year later, I find myself coming back to write another review because that quote perfectly describes Dr. Jones.
I’ve seen many veterinarians over the years, and after countless appointments, endless tests, and exhausting my finances trying to find answers for my sweet Bentley, I was emotionally and physically drained. From the moment I met Dr. Jones, I finally felt seen, heard, and understood as a pet parent. She didn’t just treat my dog she cared for both of us.
Dr. Jones was incredibly kind, compassionate, honest, and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer every question I had without ever making me feel rushed. Above all, she was honest with me, even when the truth was heartbreaking. Oakton Animal Hospital also offered Cherry financing, which gave me the opportunity to try one last round of diagnostics and treatment before having to make the hardest decision of my life.
In the end, Bentley was diagnosed with cancer and kidney failure. After spending a few more precious days loving on my best friend, I had to say goodbye to him. He left this world looking so handsome in his little tuxedo. Bentley was 16 years old, and he had been by my side since I was 14. Losing him was the greatest heartbreak I’ve ever experienced, and having to say goodbye just on my 32nd birthday made it even more difficult.
What I’ll never forget is that Dr. Jones’ compassion didn’t end when our appointment did. She personally called to check on me after Bentley passed away. She continued to answer my questions and became a source of comfort during one of the darkest seasons of my life. That level of care is incredibly rare, and it meant more to me than words can express.
Dr. Jones, thank you for seeing me, for hearing me, for treating Bentley with such dignity and love, and for reminding me that compassion is just as important as medicine. You made one of the hardest chapters of my life a little easier to carry, and I will never forget that.
If you’re looking for a veterinarian who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also deeply compassionate and genuinely invested in both you and your pet, I cannot recommend Dr. Jones and all of the staff at Oakton-Vienna Veterinary Hospital enough. Oakton-Vienna Veterinary Hospital is responsive, courteous, and professional across the entire staff of front desk staff, technicians, and veterinarians. I like that they organize my details in a phone app and I can text them to ask questions. The location is convenient for me to take care of other to-do items in the same trip.
