5 years ago, I absolutely loved the vet at Ruckersville Animal Hospital. Something has changed since then. This year, my dog was diagnosed with CHF. His new vet at Ruckersville Animal Hospital prescribed meds and educated me a bit. I told her that when it came time, I would appreciate if she could be the one to help us take Jackson across that rainbow bridge and she said she would. The day came, his little body could take no more. I phone the office and the receptionist rooms me they were booked for the rest of the week but she could schedule a euthenasia for the following week. I explained that my dog was suffering and struggling to breath, could she please work us in. She Snipped at me to hold on.... I was on hold for 20 minutes, someone then picked up the phone and hung up on my ear. I got no return call. I tried every 15 minutes to reach them by phone, only to never have anyone pick up on the other end- caller ID is great. I was forced to go elsewhere with my furbaby - his last breath was in my arms as a complete stranger administered the medication to help my boy cross that rainbow bridge. When I decide to bring another furbaby into my life, I definitely will NOT be using this vet - even though they are closer to my home, I can no longer support this business.
