After my longtime veterinarian closed unexpectedly with only a few days' notice, I found myself in a very stressful situation when my dog, Kosi, experienced cluster seizures just three days later. After an emergency vet visit, I was advised to follow up with my regular veterinarian—which, unfortunately, I no longer had. Finding a new veterinarian for a dog with complex medical needs can be overwhelming. I was looking for someone who would be compassionate, thorough, and willing to take the time to truly understand his situation rather than rush through an appointment. I found exactly that at Lexington Animal Hospital. Dr. Ryan and the entire staff were incredibly kind and compassionate from the moment we arrived. Kosi was still struggling to stand after his seizures, and Dr. Ryan immediately got down on the floor with him, taking the time to carefully assess him and make him as comfortable as possible. She listened, asked thoughtful questions, and worked with us to develop the best plan to help get his seizures under control. During an incredibly stressful and emotional time, I felt heard, supported, and confident that Kosi was receiving exceptional care. I am so grateful to Dr. Ryan and everyone at Lexington Animal Hospital for their compassion, patience, and dedication. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly cares.
