Several weeks ago we took our 2 y/o retriever to be spade and received a call 10 hours later stating they did not have time for her surgery. We had planned months in advance by arranging our schedules for time off to properly care for her post surgery, etc. We understand that things happen, but it was clear our dog was neglected all day; no water, no potty break, no food, and the front desk operator was rude about rescheduling with no apologies offered. She stated we would receive a call from the Dr to reschedule, but we never did. We waited 2 hours for the pre-exam appointment and another hour the morning of check-in for surgery. We will not be back but do hope this was a rare occurrence. Our pets deserve better.

I took my cat here about a year ago because she had a lump on her belly. Dr. Wanda told me it was crucial to get the mass removed. After the surgery, it took so long to get the vets notes and findings back after asking more than a few times. Not even a year later I had to take her to another vet because she started to get another lump. They sent me to a specialist who said all of her breast tissue should’ve been removed in order to really try and prevent mammary tumors from happening again. A pathology wasn’t done with Dr. Wanda, her new vet said that would’ve helped too. Now it’s too late, the one she has now is tucked in her pelvis, in her nerves and lymph nodes stopping her from really using her back legs. They can’t perform surgery on her, because it’s too far to do anything. All to say, if your animal has a lump and you think it could be cancerous, go to a specialist. Don’t waste your time here, you could give your pet more time by seeing someone who specializes in oncology. Sure, it’s more expensive, but it’s worth it.
