My husband and I have been bringing our animals here for around 7 years. Two cats and three dogs over the years. We are always treated with kindness, patience, and respect when we go in for our visits and the hospital does a great job of accommodating problem pets by using separate entrances and exits when we need to avoid other dogs. We even moved at one point and kept this as our primary vet despite the longer drive. Highly recommended!

If your dog is very ill this is NOT the place to them to. I’ve been taking my dog to this vet for almost 4 years now and they still can’t tell me what my dog is allergic too but want to give me a chart instead to keep up with her daily activities for ME to try to narrow it down but they’re suppose to be the experts right?! NOT! I just recently took my dog to this vet because she has been vomiting with really bad diarrhea along with an ear infection and was not eating or drinking water Now granted, they did take care of her ear infection but misdiagnosed her for the vomiting and diarrhea and charged me $500 for the visit! Today I just had to take my dog to the emergency vet in Stafford because she was getting worse instead of better and they did a fecal test and blood work something that the Dumfries Animal Hospital should’ve done but they didn’t only to find out that my dog has a gut infection along with really high white blood cells and she had to be put on antibiotics and other different medications. MY DOG COULD’VD DIED had I not followed my gut instinct to get her back to the vet to find out what was going on with her which cost me another $476! I will NEVER bring my dog back the the Dumfries Animal Hospital and I feel as though I should partially be reimbursed for what they charged me for misdiagnosing my dog because she almost lost her life!
